Scholarship Program

DISA has been providing scholarship to the students of schools at the urban areas in Pallabi, Mirpur, Dhaka since 2011. The students studying at class eight and class ten levels who hail from ultra-poor households in the area and also members of ALOGHAR are eligible for applying for scholarship. ALOGHAR makes assessment of the applications and those satisfying the selection criteria are provided with annual scholarship in an amount of Taka 300 (USD 4.00) per student per month. The ALOGHAR Supporter groups and DISA are the main financial provider in the scholarship program. Including the year 2017,  DISA provided scholarships to 729 students. In 2017, DISA  provided scholarship to 127  students from 12 Schools in Mirpur Area including 22 handicap students and from other sectors also. In 2018 DISA Provided scholarship to 80 students . In 2019 DISA has provided Scholarship to 82 students where 35 students were disable. From the very beginning total 859 students got scholarship  where 77 were handicap .
